“Mining Engineering” of The Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration - USA ... Monthly Topics Review 2007-2008.
During 2007 & 2008, Mining Publications Int'l. presented, for the first time, CANADA issues of the monthly US based "Mining Engineering" publication. The fifty-five (55) pages were supported by fifty (50) ads from our Canadian client Suppliers. They also included the Government of Ontario, that has placed twelve dynamic full paged ads during the years relating to: "Ontario's North". They are visually impressive and content rich ads; you can't help but focus on Ontario mining Suppliers after seeing it !
On behalf of the Supply community of Ontario, we extend our genuine thanks to The Honourable Michael Gravelle, Minister, Ministry of Northern Development and Mines for his concerted interest expressed to us and his prolific support to promote the mining communities of Ontario. Recently at MinExpo - he expressed his continued support to the city mayors of Sudbury, North Bay & Timmins.
A few of our investigative works included articles on Xstrata's Nickel Rim South project by our noted associate editor, William Gleason. Others included Mountain Province diamonds, the potash mining boom & British Columbia's looming shortage of skilled workers. The article on Chinese mining companies increasing their presence in Canada and the government-appointed panel currently looking into the ramifications of this heightened foreign investment, was impressive. The information obtained from Paul Stothart of the Mining Association of Canada was equally revealing to all our readers.
