The slim-line Gyro Shot® gyroscopically oriented tool can be used inside drill rods and in highly magnetic ground. This Clarkson KGF-HP 36" slurry valve is installed in a copper mining process called tailing slurry. The delta pressure of the application is 450 PSI and the tailings solids content is 67 percent. This valve was chosen over a pipeline ball valve due to the product's ability to cut through heavy slurry, provide positive isolation, is lighter, offers a long life span before repair and is less expensive to repair.

This valve has been in service over seven years and has only recently had the seats (sleeves) replaced for preventive maintenance. This product has proven to be a high value proposition to mining customers who have converted from using traditional pipeline ball valves to Clarkson high pressure slurry technology.
