MDA - Instant Mine Modeler (iMM)

Instant Mine Modeler (iMM) creates photo-realistic 3D models from sequences of images acquired from stereo cameras for underground mines. The system can back-sight to survey stations to localize itself and the 3D models in the mine coordinates. The image acquisition and processing are done automatically and results are available within minutes. Geological information can be annotated to the 3D models and all information can be uploaded to the network and imported into mine management system.

MDA - Instant Mine Modeler (iMM)

iMM can add significant values .to mine processes:

  • Grade control tool
  • Geology mapping tool
  • Daily production volume
  • Dilution reduction
  • Daily as-built update
  • Mine progress monitoring

Come by booth 8163 and meet our skilled team of mining professionals and let us show you how we can help reduce downtime and add value to your operation.

Clarkson KGF-HP 36-inch slurry valve

This Clarkson KGF-HP 36" slurry valve is installed in a copper mining process called tailing slurry. The delta pressure of the application is 450 PSI and the tailings solids content is 67 percent. This valve was chosen over a pipeline ball valve due to the product's ability to cut through heavy slurry, provide positive isolation, is lighter, offers a long life span before repair and is less expensive to repair.

This valve has been in service over seven years and has only recently had the seats (sleeves) replaced for preventive maintenance. This product has proven to be a high value proposition to mining customers who have converted from using traditional pipeline ball valves to Clarkson high pressure slurry technology.

matrikonSignificantly Extend Mining Equipment Life through Real-time Monitoring

Challenges
It’s no secret that operating and maintenance costs of heavy mining equipment not only represent a large proportion of a mine’s operational expenditures but that they also threaten the profitability of the mine. Mining companies must have the ability to monitor the performance of their mobile equipment and operators, and accurately diagnose any performance issues before they lead to unnecessary downtime.

Solution
By remotely accessing onboard equipment data, personnel now have the ability to view and analyze equipment and operator performance through comprehensive dashboards, user defined KPIs and alarms.

Matrikon™ Mobile Equipment Monitor is designed to reduce costs through the real-time management of equipment health, operator performance and maintenance processes. Whether your equipment is built by Caterpillar, Komatsu, or P&H, your personnel can now monitor and manage all field equipment regardless of vendor and determine the health of these critical assets.

Once abnormal conditions are detected, users are alerted and can take appropriate action to prevent abnormalities from escalating into serious health hazards and unplanned detractors from production and revenue streams. Maintenance can also monitor the entire mining fleet, receive early warning of developing problems and significantly extend equipment life through condition-based maintenance.

Summary
Mining companies are responding to the Operational Excellence challenge through innovation, technology and the continuous improvement of operational processes. Mobile equipment monitoring allows mining operations to extract more value from their assets and processes.
